In 2011, she discovered Salsa, Bachata, and later in 2013 Kizomba and Urban Kiz, and she has been developing and sharing her knowledge and passion for these styles since then.
Kriste has 10+ years of international teaching experience. Among other things, she was a dance teacher for three years at one of the biggest dance schools in Poland, So!Salsa, and while living in Barcelona, she was a member of the professional dance group Clandestinas, led by Salsa world champion Lucia Medina. They finished 2nd in SBK Champions España.
She is living now in Estonia, where she focuses on the development of the Estonian dance community and manages K.Dance studio. Last two years, she was also teaching internationally with her previous dance partner and was part of a dance team from the Netherlands. The most valuable for her, is to see the development of her students, at the same time, dancing must be a fun and social activity!

What People Say

A few years ago, I had already made an attempt to learn Kizomba. It worked better the second time. Even today, I find Kizomba much more difficult than Salsa, for example. Nevertheless, I really enjoy it and can recommend Kizomba to anyone who likes Kizomba music.

In my opinion, the only place to learn Kizomba in Estonia is with Waldemar and Diana. The class is professional and classy yet still light and so much fun. In Kizomba Fusion you will not only learn about how to execute the moves right and dance gracefully but it is also about the feeling, the background and the whole vibe of this beautiful dance. I feel that the teachers remember my strengths and weaknesses so well and help me refine my dancing in every training.

What surprised me was how different Kizomba dance is compared to bachata, which I started with at the dance studio, and how much I had to relearn. And how challenging this dance is despite appearing to be a relatively static dance. I was surprised by how much more this dance depends on the partner. Much more than in bachata. Since the connection with your partner in Kizomba is significantly stronger than in bachata, it has made me more sensitive in this regard. Kizomba teaches you to be much more attentive to smaller body movements. I definitely recommend trying Kizomba because it's a very beautiful dance that offers very special experiences

What surprised me the most when learning Kizomba was how much quiet strength and deep presence it holds. At first glance, it seems like just walking and rubbing against each other, but then you realize – wow – how subtly you need to listen, feel, and share energy with your partner. I used to think dancing was just about steps. Kizomba showed me that it’s actually about sharing energy. If someone is thinking about starting Kizomba, I would say: just come and try it, it’s super cool.
